It was a disappointing outing for our Melville - 1s, who came up short against Wanneroo - 1s on Saturday.
We batted first and put 152 on the board from 49.1 overs. The top score came from Ollie Sykes, who made 43 off 64 balls. Ewan Neilson added a useful 32 off 66 balls.
In reply, Wanneroo - 1s passed our total, finishing on 5/153 in 41.4 overs. Mitchell Slattery made a quality 53 for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. Declan Power was the pick of our bowlers with three for 19.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with.
That has us 13th on the ladder. Well played to the hosts.
