Despite some good moments, our Melville - 1s were undone by Willetton - 1s on a day that didn't go our way.
Across the match we made 9/84 and 3/118, with Willetton - 1s on 292. Dominic Kelly brought up a stylish half-century, finishing with 62 not out off 126 balls. Darin Jayaprakassh made 32 off 90 balls. Luke Holt returned three for 17 for our opponents.
With the ball, Declan Power did the damage, claiming three for 59 off 22 overs. Jayaprakassh backed up well, taking two for 26. Hats off to Brock Larance, whose 100 was a stylish century for the hosts.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with. It's four defeats on the trot, and the boys will be eager to bounce back.
Chins up, everyone.
