Our Melville - 2s had to settle for a loss as they were downed by Perth - 2s on a tough day.
Perth - 2s made 276, and we made 156. Thomas Drake-Brockman batted well for 28 off 54 balls with four fours and one six. Martyn Bernardino took a five-wicket haul for the visitors, finishing with five for 25.
Riley Downey bowled beautifully to finish with four for 72. Tom Wallwork also took two for 38. Taj Ballantyne posted 66 for our opponents, a polished fifty.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with.
Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
