It was a day to regroup for our Melville - 2s, who came up short against University - 2s in one to put behind us.
Over the course of the match we totalled 189, and University - 2s 8/205. Leading the way was Joshua Goodwin with 46 off 63 balls. Kiale O’Brien chipped in with 39. Chili Farmer returned four for 61 for our opponents.
Jack Brookes bowled impressively to finish with two for 18. Vidyuth Kadiresan weighed in with two for 20 off seven overs. Lynton Pearson made a good 59 for the hosts, a well-deserved half-century.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. A tough stretch, and one the team will be determined to end. On to the next one.
