Our Melville - 2s side were downed by Wanneroo - 2s on a tough day.
In terms of totals, it was Melville - 2s 213 and Wanneroo - 2s 9/295. Joshua Goodwin batted well for 49 off 92 balls with nine fours. Five wickets for Liam Hunter of the hosts, who returned five for 47.
Thomas Drake-Brockman was the pick of our bowlers with three for 25. Our opponents' Kane Pearce made a good 117.
There were some quality individual efforts to build on.
We'll go again.
