It was smiles all round as our Melville - 3s overcame Gosnells - 3s with a quality team effort.
With the bat first up, we compiled 8/170 from 45 overs. A classy 53 off 75 balls from Matthew Beckett-Cooper was the highlight. Jack Brookes contributed 26 off 57 balls.
In reply, Gosnells - 3s finished on 140 from 44.4 overs. Nikhil Shejwal was the main threat for our opponents, making 36. Griffen Collins bowled beautifully for a five-wicket haul, five for 29 off nine overs. Zane Lewis claimed three for 33 as well.
Our bowlers made sure the visitors didn't bat out their overs. A superb effort from the team.
