Despite some good moments, our Melville - 1s fell to Bayswater-Morley - 1s at home on Saturday.
After batting first, we finished on 186 from 49.3 overs. Lachlan Farrow made a superb 76 off 100 balls, a well-made fifty. Joshua Fontana weighed in with 39 off 75 balls. Lachlan Pratt was the pick of Bayswater-Morley - 1s' bowlers with four for 36.
In reply, our opponents passed our total, finishing on 4/188 in 29.4 overs. Callum Wiggers posted 88 for the visitors, a quality fifty. Mitchell Todd contributed 45 for our opponents. Declan Power grabbed three for 42.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again.
The team will be keen to bounce back.
