Our Melville Premier Melville - 1s couldn't get past Mount Lawley - 1s on home soil.
Mount Lawley - 1s finished on 3/178, and we finished on 8/177. Adam Thomas made a polished 86 for the visitors, a well-deserved half-century. Our best with the ball was Mahli Beardman, who took two for 31.
Fifty for Joshua Fontana, who finished with 50 off 53 balls. Joseph Kelly contributed 26 off 25 balls. For our opponents, Clinton Hinchliffe took three for 17 off six overs.
Credit to the visitors, who played well.
It's three defeats on the trot, and the team will be eager to bounce back. Congratulations to our opponents on the win.
