It was a cracking day for our Melville - 1s, who emerged victorious against Wanneroo - 1s to collect a well-earned win.
Wanneroo - 1s' innings ended at 221, ours at 6/285. Simon Budge brought up an excellent century, finishing with 119 not out off 144 balls. Dominic Kelly brought up a fine half-century, finishing with 53 off 64 balls. Joshua Fontana made 42 off 70 balls. Lachlan Poulter returned three for 55 for the visitors.
With the ball, Ewan Neilson did the damage, claiming three for 25 off fourteen overs. Hayden Stumpers made a good 61 for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. The visitors' best was a half-century from Mitchell Slattery, who made 51.
It was a superb all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up. A day to enjoy for everyone at Melville Premier.
