It was a tough day out for our Melville - 1s, who were bested by University - 1s despite Dominic Kelly's 57.
University - 1s' innings ended at 3/263, ours at 219. Dominic Kelly posted a half-century, making 57 off 82 balls with four fours. A five-wicket haul to Jay Chislett for our opponents (five for 74). William Bosisto added three for 30 for the visitors.
Vivian Paver made a classy 100 not out for our opponents, a century worth applauding. Bosisto passed fifty for the visitors, finishing with 84.
Credit to our opponents, who played well.
Congratulations to the visitors on the win.
